Robert Wilsons’ “Soul of my Being” is a pencil and ink drawing from the 2011 performance of Vincenzo Bellini’s “Norma.” Wilson directed Norma for the first time in Zurich in 2011 with Fabio Luisi, the Music Director of the Zurich Opera House directing. According to Marianne Zelger-Vogt in the Neue Zürcher Zeitung, “Bellini’s masterpiece is an ideal object for Wilson’s staged visions. His set creates spaces for the music, in a way that congenially corresponds to the music’s sublime and elegaic atmosphere as well as its dramatic accentuations."
