Based on Oedipus Tyrannus (Οἰδίπους Τύραννος) by Sophocles, Robert Wilson directed Oedipus in the 2018 season at the Grand Theater in the ruins of Pompeii. For the Classical Theater Festival in Vicenza (Ciclo di Spettacoli Classici), the show will be presented at the historic Teatro Olimpico, constructed by architect Andrea Palladio, and inaugurated in 1585.
